“This is Care” print campaign for Central Baptist Hospital.

For Maring Weissman and its client Central Baptist Hospital, I wrote the tagline “This is Care” and the campaign that resulted, including this series of newspaper ads, named “Best of Show” winner in the National Healthcare Marketing awards. Creative director: Paul Maring. Designers: Chuck Hart, Paul Maring.

The “This is Care” campaign didn’t just have heart. It had legs. The same characters, tone and brand story fused an integrated campaign, including TV commercials, radio commercials, outdoor boards, web landing pages, animated banner ads, and even — here comes one now — bus wraps.

That Donna gets around.

“Teddy’s Ready.” Print ad and poster for The Omni Clubs.

For The Omni Clubs of Georgia, I wrote the tagline “The Omni Difference,” and brought that line to life in a series of print ads and in-club posters promoting the personal trainers. Like this one:

“The Omni Difference” campaign also included an Omni Club website and Omni Club direct mail campaign, which I also wrote.

Designer: Chuck Hart. Photographer: David Stradal. Agency: Spoke.

“Get your head in the cloud.” Print ad for Contegix.

I wrote this Contegix cloud hosting poster, print ad and t-shirt. Agency and creative direction: Spoke Marketing. Design and illustration: Drew Mangels. It’s not often that the brilliant marketing strategists at Spoke need my help, but when they do, I strap on the jet-pack.

The copy reads: Get your head in the cloud. We’re already there. Contegix is your full-service partner for customer cloud hosting that’s intelligent, managed, secure, reliable. To us, you’re not just an IP address. You’re the focus of unparalleled care, support and responsiveness. The upshot: VM uptime.

By the way, I’m moving into the cloud next week myself: iCloud. That might mean some change of contact info (ugh.) Meanwhile, you know where to find me. - Walt

“Worry Less,” says St. Andrew’s. And so do I.

There’s enough worry in the world. You need less of it. “Worry Less” is the tagline I wrote for St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors, a St. Louis-based leader in elder care. The line goes to core, human benefit of the excellent service St. Andrew’s provides.

St. Andrew’s embraced the “Worry Less” brand story and brought it to life in an ongoing, multi-media campaign, including brochures, wearables, website, social media, and a very nice Facebook page.

Above is one of the ads in the “Worry Less” print campaign, which uses ironic juxtaposition to make its point. Ah! May we all get around as good as Grandma when we get to be that age. Art director and designer: Chuck Hart. Photographer: David Stradal.

Love blooms. So do your invitations.

That’s the headline I wrote for this new, national print and direct mail campaign for Cast Paper Art, St. Louis-based artisans of seed paper invitations, which, when planted, really bloom! Like love. [Cue violins.]

But also artisans are art director Chuck Hart and photographer David Preston, who spent a week roaming the Midwest for just the right wildflowers to incude in the image, so that Chuck could work his Photoshop magic and create a striking ad that brides-to-be will notice. I think they will. Brides-to-be, what do you think?
